Q1: How to get a PCB quotation from Cheer Time?

A1: It is better to use a Gerber file in RS274X format, including all requirements of the target PCBs. If the Gerber file is unavailable, please at least provide the PCB specifications, including dimensions, board thickness, copper thickness, materials, surface treatment, etc.

 

Q2: How to hire Cheer Time to manufacture PCBs?

A2: Please provide a Gerber file in RS274X format with the drilling file and all PCB specifications, including dimensions, board thickness, copper thickness, materials, surface treatment, solder mast/legend colors, etc.

 

Q3: What is the thinnest PCB that Cheer Time can make?

A3: Currently, the thinnest is 0.2mm for single-/double-sided PCBs and 0.4mm for multilayer boards.

 

Q4: How does Cheer Time calculate impedance and check if impedance complies with the standard?

A4: We calculate and confirm impedance with the software from Polar. In addition, we will install coupons on the board’s edge to measure the impedance of the coupon with the Polar impedance tester after PCB completion to confirm if impedance complies with the standard.

 

Q5: What are the ICT machines that Cheer Time uses?

Q6: Does Cheer Time use MIL-P-13949-compliant substrates?

A6: MIL-P-13949 was already replaced by IPC-4101 on November 15, 1998. Currently, all substrates used by Cheer Time comply with IPC-4101. Besides IPC-4101 compliance, it is necessary to consider the Tg/Td or other requirements of the product. Common requirements include: IPC-4101 /21 /24 /26 /99 /121 /124 /126.

 

Q7: Does Cheer Time provide a PCB paneling service?

A7: Yes, we do provide a PCB paneling service. If you can provide the Gerber file after paneling, no additional charge will be requested. However, an engineering charge will be requested for each file when more than one file is provided for editing to achieve paneling.

 

Q8: How does Cheer Time pack PCBs before shipping?

A8: In general, we pack about 20 pieces in one vacuum pack (adjusted based on thickness). Then, we will box them with suitable cartons according to the dimensions. In addition, bubble wrap and sponge will be used to protect products all around to prevent damage from shaking during transportation and thereby ensure flawless quality. If special packaging is required, please notify our sales personnel when placing an order.

 

Q9: Is desiccant or the humidity indicator card (HID) provided in the package?

A9: Please remark in the order or notify our sales personnel when placing an order as necessary. Both are included in the vacuum pack.
